Is it weird that one of my favorite New Orleans jazz albums comes from a group of Norwegian musicians?

Christmas Time with Magnolia Jazzband is a wonderful collection of traditional jazz from one of Norway's best-known Dixieland ensembles. Recorded live, the album captures the spontaneity and infectious spirit of classic New Orleans jazz and mixes familiar favorites like "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," "Silver Bells," "Let It Snow!," and "Blue Christmas" with traditional Norwegian Christmas songs, including "Mitt Hjerte Alltid Vanker" and "Du Grønne, Glitrende Tre."

As mentioned on the Frontierland Holiday Loops podcast episode, three songs from this album are featured on the holiday music loop that plays along the Rivers of America area in Disneyland. A delightful discovery for fans of traditional jazz or those wanting to extend their Disneyland Christmas magic.
