**Pre-owned** Jimmy Buffett | Christmas Island | Pre-Owned CD
Released in 1996. Christmas Island is Buffett's first holiday album, blending his signature Gulf Coast sound with country, rock, and Caribbean influences.
The 10-song album opens with the tropical title track and features playful interpretations of "Jingle Bells," "Mele Kalikimaka," and Chuck Berry's "Run Rudolph Run." Buffett's original compositions include the humorous "Ho Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rhum" and the heartfelt "A Sailor's Christmas." There's also a relaxed rendition of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)," along with the nostalgic "Merry Christmas, Alabama (Never Far from Home)." A hidden reading of "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" closes the album.
This pre-owned CD is the original 1996 MCA Records release.
