Released by Capitol Records in 2017, Holidays Rule Vol. 2 is the follow-up to the acclaimed 2012 Christmas compilation. This 16-track collection brings together an eclectic lineup of artists spanning indie rock, pop, soul, jazz, and Americana, each offering a distinctive take on the season.

Highlights include Paul McCartney joining Jimmy Fallon and The Roots for a rendition of "Wonderful Christmastime," Norah Jones performing Horace Silver's "Peace," and The Decemberists covering Big Star's "Jesus Christ." Rosanne Cash, Grace Potter, Lake Street Dive, and MUNA contribute equally memorable performances, while newer voices like Kandace Springs and Albin Lee Meldau add even more variety.

With its mix of familiar favorites, unexpected covers, and original holiday songs, Holidays Rule Vol. 2 is a terrific collection for listeners looking to discover something beyond the usual Christmas playlist. A wonderfully diverse celebration of contemporary holiday music.
