Few voices capture the warmth and nostalgia of Christmas quite like Karen Carpenter's. Originally released in 1984, An Old-Fashioned Christmas is the Carpenters' second holiday album, assembled by Richard Carpenter following Karen's passing in 1983. Combining previously unreleased recordings from their 1978 Christmas Portrait sessions with newly recorded material, the album is a beautiful companion to their first Christmas collection.

The 14-track album features Karen's unmistakable vocals on favorites like "O Holy Night," "Do You Hear What I Hear?," and "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town," alongside Richard's performance of the title song. Elaborate orchestral arrangements, festive medleys, and selections from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker give the album a wonderfully traditional holiday atmosphere.

This Japanese Import CD features the complete original album, including "Little Altar Boy," "My Favorite Things," and "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?" A timeless collection that showcases the Carpenters' extraordinary gift for making Christmas music feel warm, personal, and beautifully nostalgic.
