According to Ben Folds, "Christmas is constant, allowing you to take stock of what's different, to understand who you are and all the ways you've grown and changed." That idea became Sleigher, Folds' first-ever Christmas album.

Released in 2024, this 10-song album definitely showcases that idea. Featuring six original compositions including the instrumental opener "Little Drummer Bolero," the bittersweet "Sleepwalking Through Christmas," and the duet with singer-songwriter Lindsey Kraft, "We Could Have This," as well as four perfectly selected covers, the album moves effortlessly between humor and nostalgia, capturing both the magic of Christmas and the complicated feelings of the holiday season.
